Wild Explorers (4-8 years)

This Wild Explorers session is a fun-filled 2 hours of games and activities designed to strengthen the connection your child has with the natural surroundings. The small group (capped at 12 children) is being held in a beautiful, quiet and slightly wild part of the southern Adelaide Parklands.

Sessions are run by an occupational therapist and are for those who want to deepen their connection with nature, find new spaces to play and create space for positive well-being. The activities are most importantly fun but also aim to strengthen participants sensory, social and emotional systems through engaging games and activities. We'll also have Steven Hoepfner, a plant guru from Earth Right, joining us and sharing a bush food experience with us.

Children younger than this are more that welcome to be present to enjoy and explore the space (including mud kitchen) at no extra cost but won't be able to participate in the games. Parents are required to stay in the vicinity for the duration. So bring a chair where you can watch, read a good book or get creative with our clay.

Everyone can enjoy a well-being reset in nature before term 3 kicks off!

Pop-Up Wild Playgroup // Wodli Making and Clay Creating

Our Pop-Up Wild Playgroups offer an opportunity for families to set aside time to spend in beautiful, natural spaces just outside of the city (North Adelaide).

Each week we provide children with a range of play experiences in a natural setting. Every session we have mud pies play, block stacking and binoculars available. This weeks extra activities are Wodli (aka Teepee) Making and Clay Creating. Both activities offer children an opportunity to play in and explore the environment in different ways. Children are always encouraged to follow their curiosity and we are always surprised with their ideas using surrounding nature.

Sessions are designed for children 5 and under (however older siblings can join the fun too), with siblings under 6 months free. We understand that spending time in nature has significant benefits for both adults and children's health and well-being. Our group will provide an opportunity for both you and your children a break from busy day-to-day lives whilst supporting your child's development at the same time.

We can't wait to meet you in nature.
